Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for ‘Scary Movie,’ bringing back the franchise’s most beloved characters for another outrageous send-up of modern horror cinema.
Twenty-six years after first dodging a suspiciously familiar masked killer, the iconic Core Four return to face a new wave of terror as no horror franchise, reboot, sequel, or legacy continuation is safe from the ‘Scary Movie’ treatment.
The new film reunites original stars Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell, Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks, Marlon Wayans as Shorty Meeks, and Shawn Wayans as Ray Wilkins. Together, they’re thrown back into the chaos as a new killer emerges and takes aim at every corner of contemporary horror.
This time around, the film targets everything from reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, and elevated horror to origin stories and the seemingly endless stream of “final chapters” that never actually stay final.
Directed by Michael Tiddes, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Dave Sheridan, Heidi Gardner, Lochlyn Munro, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, and Sydney Park.
