Initially, it felt like something of a challenge to remain calm and not be nervous by the sheer amount of talent in the room when interviewing the trio of Sarah Paulson, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock. Yet within mere moments it became clear there was little to be worried about, catching all three decorated actresses in a very fun and playful mood.

The three have joined forces in the heist movie Ocean’s 8, and we discussed with them the camaraderie on set, and just how well they all seemed to get along off camera. We then asked who they felt would be the best equipped of the 8 in conducting a heist in real life.

Given they play characters who seem to always get away with everything, we wanted to know what is the naughtiest thing they have done and got away with – which led into a brief chat about Theresa May and her daredevil venture into a wheat field. On a similar token, we asked what the actresses have ever stolen from a set as memorabilia, and finally asked them what male-dominated film would they most like to see rebooted again in the future.

Synopsis

Five years, eight months, 12 days and counting — that’s how long Debbie Ocean has been devising the biggest heist of her life. She knows what it’s going to take — a team of the best people in the field, starting with her partner-in-crime Lou Miller. Together, they recruit a crew of specialists, including jeweler Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose. Their target — a necklace that’s worth more than $150 million.

Ocean’s 8 is out in cinemas across the UK now. Read our review of the film here.
