One of our most anticipated films of this year is Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity. As we are firmly in the internet age the various casting turbulence which plagued this film is well known with Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman amongst others who were in the frame for this one.
When Sandra Bullock was finally cast it was an interesting choice as this film is predominately a one woman show, the actress would need to convey every emotion with the a scarcity of dialogue. Bullock has shown that she can turn in a very interesting performance and, despite The Heat and the Congeniality movies she has avoided the typecasting which seem to want to envelop her.
Here is a new image from Gravity, and like much of what we’ve seen before it only hints at what’s to come. With Cuarón behind the camera it will certainly be an interesting, if bumpy, ride.
