Russell Crowe has been rumoured to be a part of the cast for Taika Waititi’s  ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ and the ‘Gladiator’ star has committed a “Tom Holland” this week and confirmed his involvement in his role as the mythical Greek god Zeus.

Crowe revealed the news via the Australian radio station Joy 94.9 in which he also disclosed he had recently wrapped filming his part. It would appear to us that this production seems to have got its mythical gods a bit mixed up. Where Zeus is part of Greek mythology, Thor is part of the Norse God mythology, this should make for a very interesting watch.

Natalie Portman is making her return to the MCU as Jane Foster, who will go on her own superheroic journey this time. Christian Bale is villain Gorr The God Butcher, while Waititi has Matt Damon once more playing his actor character from Thor: Ragnarok. He appeared performing in a staged version of that film’s story that will also feature Melissa McCarthy as an actor playing Hela.

Waititi will take up the helm once more for ‘Love and Thunder’. Chris Hemsworth will reprise the titular superhero, while Tessa Thompson will be reprising her role from ‘Ragnarok’ as Valkyrie. Natalie Portman is returning to the franchise for the first time since 2013’s ‘Thor: The Dark World.’

The latest instalment of ‘Thor’ is being filmed in Australia after receiving a $24.1million location incentive grant from the Federal Government.
