The novel in question is Steve Watson’s debut, titled Before I Go to Sleep, which is about “a young woman who, after a night of partying, wakes up to discover that she has aged beyond recognition.”

With Joffe’s Brighton Rock receiving a lot of pre-release buzz, it could be an interesting next project, one that centers on a strong female character, a departure from Brighton Rock and The American, which Joffe wrote the script for.

Before I Go to Sleep will be a co-production between Scott Free and StudioCanal.
