The Walking Dead is back with an explosive mid-season premiere and has amped up the anticipation of what is to come.
We not only seen Abraham, Daryl and Sasha escape from a seemingly inescapable situation but also the Alexandrian’s fight back with some casualties along the way. Jessie, Sam and Ron are no more with their departures differing drastically on the gore-o-meter.
Yep, it’s a helluva lot to nibble on and then some for the mid-season return.
The death of Ron is surprising as the character seemed to be changing but a death many fans revelled in as did Ross Marquand [Aaron]. Speaking to HeyUGuys at Walker Stalker Con London, Marquand, thought it was overdue: “Oh yeah. I wanted him dead last year. I was like, why is he still a thing? He’s a prick [laughs]!”
And on the matter of new characters, Marquand said: “Very exciting and can’t speak too much of them, of course. I think it’s fascinating all these great new characters that are coming. It’s going to be great when the fans finally meet those people.”
As a whole the episode very much makes a statement of intent for the remainder of season six and lets us know that no one is safe.
