‘The Batman’ star Robert Pattinson is currently in talks to star in Bong Joon Ho’s next feature, an adaptation of the upcoming novel ‘Mickey7.’
Billed as a science-fiction story, the book has been described as ‘The Martian’ meets ‘Dark Matter.’ The tale is about an “expendable” — a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Nifheim — who refuses to let his replacement clone, dubbed Mickey8, take his place.
How close Bong Joon Ho will stick to the source material is currently unknown as plot details are being kept top secret. The book penned by Edward Ashton is due to be published in February 2022.

After the runaway success of ‘Parasite’, the Oscar winner signed a deal with WarnerMedia for an HBO limited series which will be based on ‘Parasite.’ The latest move marks his second for the major studio.
Bong is also known for acclaimed films like ‘Snowpiercer,’ ‘The Host,’ ‘Okja’ and ‘Barking Dogs Never Bite.’
Pattinson can next be seen as the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ which is due for a release in 2022.
