The Intern hits UK cinemas tomorrow, 2nd October – Our friend James Kleinmann got to chat with Hollywood legend Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway about the project, what it was about the Nancy Meyers script that attracted them to coming on to the project and what it was like working with one another.
Rather amusingly James asks them both about what it is about the other that they loved so much – a question Anne found particularly awkward but it’s very fun to watch. We also get to hear from Writer / Director Nancy Meyers (who previously wrote and directed The Holidays, It’s Complicated, Something’s Gotta Give and The Parent Trap) who talks about why Robert and Anne were so right for the roles in her new comedy. She also talks about the legendary Robert De Niro and how his career arc will never be re-created.
