Regina King and Lakeith Stanfield are amongst a whole host of talent to join the all-black western ‘The Harder They Fall’.
King and Stanfield star alongside Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2,” “Joker”), Delroy Lindo (“The Good Fight,” “Da 5 Bloods”), Laz Alonso (“The Boys,” “Avatar”), Edi Gathegi (“Twilight,” “X-Men: First Class”) and RJ Cyler (“Power Rangers,” “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”) and will join Idris Elba and Jonathan Majors on the cast.
Coming from The Bullitts singer-songwriter turned filmmaker Jeymes Samuel, the story follows Nat Love (Majors) who discovers that Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) , the man who killed his parents two decades ago, is being released from prison. He reunites with his gang to track his enemy down and seek his revenge.

The feature will be directed by Samuel, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Boaz Yakin. Samuel will also produce alongside Lawrence Bender, James Lassiter and Jay-Z.
King was last seen on the big screen in Barry Jenkins ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ and won an Oscar for her role. She also starred in the TV series ‘Watchmen’. She recently made her feature directorial debut with One Night in Miami.
Stanfield, having made a star turn in ‘Sorry To Bother You’, has gone on to star in ‘The Girl in Spiders Web’, ‘Uncut Gems’ and ‘Knives Out’. His upcoming work includes Shaka King’s ‘Judas and the Black Messiah in which he stars opposite Daniel Kaluuya.
