Ahead of the first trailer launching for Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage this coming Thursday, a couple of first look stills have been released of Johnson in action.

The images, which you can view below, depict Johnson amongst a city completely demolished, and reduced to nothing but rubble, Naomie Harris also makes an appearance.
The film will follow Johnson, the primatologist Davis Okoye, he is a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth.
But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path,
Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.
Rampage was a major hit on the arcade game platform which saw players taking control of huge monsters such as Ralph, a type of wolf, George the giant gorilla and Lizzie; you guessed it a great big lizard. Which see’s the players only able to move onto the next stage was reducing the current city to a pile of rubble.
Johnson reunites with San Andreas helmer Brad Peyton, who directs the film, the cast joining Johnson includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Joe Manganiello, Naomie Harris and Malin Akerman.
The film is due for a theatrical release in April 2018
