Sony has just let us know that the BBC Sports app is has entered beta and is available to download now, and it’s free too. Clearly this is targeted at the olympics but it’s said to be in full swing for the flagship tennis tournament Wimbledon. F1 is also said to be available on the app, but I’m guessing that’s just the races the BBC covers, and not the ones SKY has.
So expect lots of yellow to grace your TV screen and a lot of second rate sports as they lost all the good ones to ITV and Sky.
