A24 has released a new trailer for ‘Primetime,’ the provocative new drama from acclaimed filmmaker Lance Oppenheim, ahead of its world premiere in competition at the Venice International Film Festival.
Inspired by true events, ‘Primetime’ stars Robert Pattinson as legendary ‘To Catch a Predator’ host Chris Hansen in a gripping story set during one of the most controversial moments in television history. Pattinson also serves as a producer on the film.
Set in 2006, ‘Primetime’ follows Chris Hansen as he embarks on a mission to make television history with the groundbreaking investigative series ‘To Catch a Predator.’ As the pursuit of ratings, justice and spectacle collide, the film explores the blurred lines between journalism, entertainment and morality.
Joining Pattinson is an ensemble cast featuring Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Maher and Bokeem Woodbine.
Following its debut at the Venice International Film Festival, ‘Primetime’ will arrive in UK and Irish cinemas this autumn from A24.
