As the second season of Power Book II: Ghost swings into action on Starzplay, the events of season one cast a long shadow – and there’s questions to be answered. So we sat down with three of the stars from the series to get the inside track on what to expect and what the future holds for their characters.

Tariq St Patrick, played by Michael Rainey Jr, is at the centre of the action, haunted by his legacy and running from one especially dangerous secret. Part of the Power franchise since the start, Rainey’s firmlyin the spotlight for this season and talked to us about the character has developed over time and why he still loves playing the role.

He stars alongside Larenz Tate, who plays power-hungry Rashad Tate, a would-be politician whose ambitions have been thwarted so far – but he doesn’t take defeat lying down. The actor looks forward to appearing in a future spin off of Power, as well as considering whether or not he’d vote for his character in an election.

Method Man, who stars as ambitious lawyer Davis McLean, is in no doubt as to whether he’d employ his character if he needed legal advice. The rapper-turned-actor describes his love for acting and his admiration for British stars, especially Tom Hardy who recently cited him as one of the inspirations for the voice of Venom.
