‘Killing Eve’ and ‘Fleabag’ creator, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has jumped on board the good-ship ‘Bond’ to give the script an injection of life.

At the request of Daniel Craig who thought the script needed to “introduce more humour and the offbeat style of writing she is best known for”, Waller-Bridge has been brought onto the project before the main shoot is due to begin, which is imminent. Some scenes have already begun filming in Norway but rumour has it that the script hasn’t actually been finished, hence the delay in getting the main shoot off the ground.

Cary Fukunaga is directing the film which has a current working title of ‘Shutterhand’. Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Lea Seydoux are expected to return to their roles. Rami Malek has been rumoured to be playing the villain. At one stage Barbara Broccoli and director Cary Fukunaga were keen to get Lupita Nyong’o on board the 25th instalment.

The official title for the next instalment will be officially revealed when filming is to commence during at a special press conference.

Scott Z. Burns has reworked a previous script by Danny Boyle.
