Mark Wahlberg and Connie Britton have been cast in ‘Monsters and Men’ helmer, Reinaldo Marcus Green’s drama ‘Good Joe Bell’.

Based on a true story, Wahlberg is set to play real-life Oregonian father Joe Bell, who sets out on a walk across the United States with his son, Jadin, who will be played by Reid Miller.

Co-written by the Oscar-winning duo behind ‘Brokeback Mountain’ Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry, the film will also be produced by Wahlberg. Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker, via their Nine Stories banner, Cary Fukunaga of Parliament Of Owls, Daniela Taplin Lundberg of Stay Gold, Eva Maria Daniels of Vision Chaos, Ryan Ahrens of Argent Pictures, and Stephen Levinson will also produce.
