Paul Feig is back with his latest comedy, The Heat, his follow-up to the hugely successful Bridesmaids which went on to garner Oscar nominations back in 2009. The Heat stars Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock as a Boston-based cop duo who, in great buddy cop tradition, are forced to put their differences aside and work together when investigating a local crime ring.
We caught up with the director and asked him about what drew him to the buddy cop genre, working with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, and popping up in the movie himself in a cameo role. We also asked him about his cult TV show, Freaks and Geeks, and what he might be up to next.
