There are those that believe Pixar should have called it quits on the Toy Story franchise after the Oscar winning third instalment, but seeing as that movie earned over $1 billion worldwide, you can’t blame the studio for not wanting to end things just yet (even on a high).

With Tom Hanks and Tim Allen already confirmed to return as Woody and Buzz Lightyear, Patricia Arquette is said to be in talks to play a laid-back mom who’s described as a hippie.

Talking about the plot of Toy Story 4 earlier this year, director John Lasseter revealed that it’s going to feature a rescue mission of sorts as, “Woody and Buzz light-year go out to find Bo Peep and bring her back, and it’s a very special and emotional love story. But it’s extremely funny too.” Many fans of the Toy Story franchise were disappointed when Bo Peep failed to appear in the last movie, so that definitely sounds like a step in the right direction.

Toy Story 4 was written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, and it’s set to be released on June 15th, 2018. That’s a date which puts it right between the Godzilla and Jurassic World sequels, so whether or not it will be able to reach $1 billion  again remains to be seen…
