Hitting cinemas over the first weekend of the New Year, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones marks the first spin-off film from the incredibly successful horror franchise.
The first four films have netted over 0m. at the global box office from a combined budget of just over m., and it’s not difficult to predict more success next year for Paramount, who will release not only Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones in January, but also Paranormal Activity 5 over Halloween.
The first teaser trailer for the spin-off surfaced just before Halloween this year. And now the studio has launched a new international trailer, which is fortunately all in English, but with what looks to be Swedish subtitles.
Leading the cast for the new spin-off are Andrew Jacobs, Jorge Diaz, Carlos Pratts, Gloria Sandovall, and Molly Ephraim.
Christopher Landon is behind the camera, making his debut at the helm for the franchise, having written or co-written the second, third, and fourth instalments in the series. He’s directing from his own script, with Oren Peli producing.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones hits UK cinemas on 1st January, 2014 with its US release date set for January 3rd. If past experience is anything to go by, Paramount is going to have a hugely successful start to the New Year. For now, here’s the new trailer, with a name-dropping appearance from the ever-brilliant GoPro.
