Harrison-Ford-and-Gary-Oldman-in-ParanoiaArriving in US theatres this summer, Robert Luketic’s Paranoia promises to be a strong dramatic thriller in a few months’ time, boasting a strong leading cast in Liam Hemsworth, Harrison Ford, and Gary Oldman.

With its release date brought forward from October to August, the first trailer has premiered over on Yahoo Movies, with Hemsworth himself doing the introductions.

In this high-stakes thriller, Adam Cassidy (Liam Hemsworth) is an ambitious junior technologist trying to climb the ranks of telecom giant Wyatt Corporation. But after one costly mistake, Adam is blackmailed by ruthless CEO Nicholas Wyatt (Gary Oldman) to turn corporate spy by going to work for the firm’s top competitor, which is run by Wyatt’s old mentor, Jock Goddard (Harrison Ford). Adam soon finds himself delivered into prepackaged success, living his fantasy life of old-world boardrooms, private clubs, exotic cars, and all the spoils of Manhattan bachelorhood. However, behind the scenes, he is merely a pawn in Wyatt’s power play, and must search for a way out from under his boss, who will stop at nothing, even murder, to gain a multi-billion dollar advantage.

The brilliant Amber Heard stars alongside them as the female lead, with Josh Holloway, Lucas Till, Richard Dreyfuss, and Embeth Davidtz completing the cast.

Luketic is directing from a script by Jason Dean Hall (Spread) and Barry Levy (Vantage Point), who are adapting the original novel by Joseph Finder.

Paranoia will be hitting US cinemas on August 16th, almost two months earlier than originally expected. Still no word yet on a UK release date, but here’s to hoping it will be landing on our shores in the autumn.
