The first trailer debuted late last year, giving us a great first look at the upcoming action-comedy. And with its release now less than a month away, Yahoo Movies have debuted a brilliant new red-band trailer, to help raise the anticipation further.
From acclaimed director MichaelBay comes “Pain & Gain,” a new action comedy starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, and Anthony Mackie.
Based on the unbelievable true story of three personal trainers in 1990s Miami who, in pursuit of the American Dream, get caught up in a criminal enterprise that goes horribly wrong.
Starring alongside Wahlberg, Johnson, and Mackie is a great supporting cast, led by Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Ken Jeong, Rebel Wilson, and Tony Shalhoub.
Bay is directing from a script co-written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The First Avenger), based on an original article by Pete Collins.
Wahlberg and Bay are of course reuniting on the anticipated new film in the Transformers franchise, the as-yet-untitled Transformers 4. And that, alone, suggests that they’ve had a brilliant time working together to make Pain and Gain. Here’s to hoping that this is the start of a great new collaborative team down the line.
Pain and Gain will be released in the US on April 26th, followed by its UK release date on 3rd May. If you weren’t already looking forward to this one, now is the time to start. Here’s the latest red-band trailer to show you why. And, of course, it’s unsuitable viewing for work. Enjoy.
