Orange is the New Black is the latest original series to come out of Netflix, and based on what we’ve seen (the first six episodes) it’s probably also their best so far.
Based on the memoir of Piper Kerman, the show stars Taylor Schilling as Kerman stand-in Piper Chapman, a middle-class woman whose past catches up with her when she’s sent to federal prison for an offence she committed a decade earlier.
Tomorrow we’ll be posting out interview with Taylor Schilling and Piper Kerman, but first up we’ve got our chat with former American Pie star Jason Biggs and Danielle Brooks. Biggs plays Piper’s fiance who’s trying to get on with his life while Piper serves her sentence. Brooks, meanwhile, plays one of the many interesting inmates that Piper must interact with inside, Tasha ‘Taystee’ Jefferson.
