Apple TV has released the trailer for ‘Nocturne,’ a gripping new crime drama based on the internationally bestselling novel ‘The Sandman’ by Lars Kepler.
The 10-episode series stars and is executive produced by Tony and Actor Award winner and Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Liev Schreiber, alongside Emmy Award nominee Zazie Beetz and Emmy, Golden Globe and Actor Award winner Stephen Graham.
‘Nocturne’ follows Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who has grown tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia. However, his hopes for a peaceful new chapter are quickly shattered when the town and his family become targets of the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham).
As the desperate search for Jurek’s final missing victim intensifies, Jonah is forced to confront a nightmare that reaches far closer to home than he could have imagined. To uncover the truth, he sends his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), directly into Jurek’s path. But with the stakes rising and his family in danger, how far will Jonah go to bring the killer to justice?
The ensemble cast also includes Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Poorna Jagannathan and Gary Carr.
‘Nocturne’ is developed for television, co-showrun, written and executive produced by John Hlavin. BAFTA Award winner Rowan Joffe created the series for television and also serves as co-showrunner, writer and executive producer.
