Having sat down with Bollywood star Deepika Padukone for the release of xXx: Return of Xander Cage, we also had the pleasure of meeting another talented actress from this all-star cast in Nina Dobrev (probably best known for her role as Elena Gilbert / Katherine Pierce / Amara in TV show The Vampire Diaries), to discuss her role of Becky in the third entry into the popular franchise.
Dobrev talks to us exclusively about her role in the movie, and whether she’s technologically savvy in the same way (spoiler alert: she aint). She also explains to us why she wasn’t allowed to read script, and the challenges in entering in to an established, popular franchise of this nature. She then goes on to tell us about being a fan of original film 15 years ago, why this movie was so fun to make, and on her diverse range of career choices, and whether having such an eclectic mix of projects is a conscious decision.

After coming out of self-imposed exile, daredevil operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) must race against time to recover a sinister weapon known as Pandora’s Box, a device that controls every military satellite in the world. Recruiting a new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself entangled in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of government.
