To mark the release of the profoundly moving drama Mum’s List – out in cinemas across the UK now – we had the pleasure of sitting down with the film’s director Niall Johnson, and leading star Emilia Fox.

Fox plays Kate, a mother dying of cancer, leaving behind her two young sons and husband,  Singe – played with a stunning conviction by Rafe Spall. She speaks about how she connected to the role, and the challenges in performing one scene in particular. Johnson has a more personal affiliation with this project, for he knew Singe and Kate before she passed away, so he discusses the difficulties, emotionally, in bringing this story to the big screen.
