Due out early in 2013, Jonathan Levine (50/50) returns behind the camera to bring us Warm Bodies, a zombie film with a twist – it has a heart.
We saw the brilliant first trailer for the film last week, swiftly followed by a great new poster, with our two leads, Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) and Teresa Palmer (Wish You Were Here), front and centre. And now the UK variant of the trailer has debuted online.
“When a highly unusual zombie rescues a girl from imminent death at the hands of his cohorts, their unlikely romance sets in motion a chain of events that will transform him, his fellow dead and maybe even the whole lifeless world.”
Hoult and Palmer top an excellent cast, joined by Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love.), Dave Franco (21 Jump Street), Rob Corddry (Children’s Hospital), and John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich).
Levine is directing from his own script, having adapted the original novel by Isaac Marion. The writer-director has made two of my favourite films in recent years – 50/50 and The Wackness – and I can’t wait to see what he brings us next.
Warm Bodies will be released in the US on 1st February, 2013, before coming to the UK a week later on 8th February. For now, here’s the great new trailer, with a split-second of new footage at the 1:35 mark, and a different ending with the excellent young Tipton. Enjoy.
