A new Spanish trailer for Pedro Almodóvar’s The Skin I Live In (La piel que habito) has landed online at Bloody Disgusting and it’s…well, it’s something.

Lacking subtitles and practically devoid of dialogue anyway, the film is equally enigmatic when it comes to the consistently striking but borderline incomprehensible visuals. Charting Antonio Banderas’ plastic surgeon’s hunt for revenge on the men responsible for raping his daughter, all the while perfecting a new synthetic skin capable of withstanding damage, the trailer is a delightfully bonkers barrage of close ups, cold showers and cocked guns.

Making a large splash earlier this year at Cannes, the film will put in an appearance at this year’s Toronto Film Festival following a U.K. cinema release on August 26th.
