As more game details and screenshots are released, Nintendo seem to be proving their claim that their new handheld console, the 3DS, will be far more than a simple DS add-on.
Capcom have revealed the first official images from the 3DS’ first Resident Evil game, and they’re even stunning in good old-fashioned 2D.
Little is known about the game’s plot, but when the developer’s Keiji Inafune claimed back in June that it was “a true survival horror”, it seems he wasn’t kidding.
These images show the return of proper zombies and mutant monsters as opposed to Resident Evil 4 and 5’s angry villagers, with both Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield trapped in the narrow, dark and claustrophobic confines of a freight ship.
