Recently set for release next month by Fox Searchlight in prime Oscar position, Hitchcock is one of two upcoming projects centred on one of the most influential filmmakers of all time, with this film starring the great Anthony Hopkins in the lead.
EW have debuted a great new poster for the film, and joining it are a handful of new images, giving us a look at some of the main players.
Hopkins is joined by an all-star cast, headed up by Helen Mirren playing his wife, Alma Reville; Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh; Jessica Biel as Vera Miles; Toni Collette as Peggy Robertson; and James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins.
Sacha Gervasi makes his feature debut behind the camera, having won universal acclaim for his documentary debut with Anvil: The Story of Anvil, directing from a script by John J. McLaughlin (Black Swan), adapting the original book by Stephen Rebello.
Hitchcock will be released in the US on 23rd November, before coming to the UK slightly later on 8th February, 2013, by which time we’ll know whether or not its expected awards campaign will have seen it become nominated for the Oscars.
