Here’s the brand new International trailer for The Karate Kid which stars Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan doing pretty much the same thing that Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita did 26 years ago. Man, I can’t believe it’s that old!

This new trailer doesn’t show us anything that we didn’t see in US version of the trailer that was brought out before Christmas. It looks to me like all they’ve done is remove the snippets of text that the previous version had but I’ll let you make you mind up. From this trailer, the film doesn’t look like as bad as we all thought it was going to be but I guess time will tell.

The Karate Kid is going to hit our screens 18th June.  Check out the ‘new’ International trailer below.

Synopsis: In Columbia Pictures’ The Karate Kid, 12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could’ve been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother’s latest career move has taken them to China.  Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying, but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre’s feelings make an enemy of the class bully, and kung fu prodigy, Cheng.  In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts “the karate kid” on the floor with ease.  With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who is secretly a kung fu master.  As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and skill, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the adventure of a lifetime.
