Studiocanal has released new images from Dougal Wilson’s highly anticipated ‘Paddington in Peru,’ which opens in UK cinemas 8 November 2024 followed by theatrical releases worldwide including the US release via Sony 17 January 2025.
The images feature new characters The Reverend Mother (Olivia Colman) a blithe and sunny guitar-playing nun who runs the Home for Retired Bears and Hunter Cabot (Antonio Banderas) a dashing and intrepid riverboat captain who offers to help the Brown family on their Peruvian adventure.
To coincide with the new images, Studiocanal has also announced ‘Paddington Visits’ a trail of Paddington Bear statues across the UK and Ireland to celebrate the forthcoming release.
From Liverpool to Land’s End to Birmingham to Bury St Edmunds, and of course, London Paddington, bear-y special statues are coming to cities, towns, and beauty spots across the UK and Ireland in early October. Each meticulously crafted and painted statue will sport the wise bear’s signature red hat, blue duffle coat, and, naturally, a marmalade sandwich in paw.
