Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo has entered into early negotiations to star in Steven Spielberg’s currently untitled event movie.
Plot details are locked down but the movie is described as a two-hander, Emily Blunt is also onboard and is thought to be playing one of the leads in the project. Colin Firth and Eve Hewson are also on board. Based on a story by Spielberg, the film has his longtime collaborator David Koepp penning the script, with Kristie Macosko Krieger producing.
Currently, Universal and Amblin have the project slated for a release on May 15, 2026.

Domingo earned him several accolades including Oscar, BAFTA and SAG nominations for his role in Netflix feature ‘Rustin.’ He is also tipped for several awards nominations for his role in the dramatic ‘Sing Sing.’
