We got a brilliant first trailer for Seth MacFarlane’s feature debut at the start of the week, following up from the great first poster that surfaced last month.

A second trailer has now made its way online, courtesy of Apple, and this time around it’s green-band, so it’s entirely suitable for work (provided you’re on a break).

Mark Wahlberg takes the live-action lead with Seth MacFarlane voicing the animated and foul-mouthed teddy bear, Ted, opposite him, and joining them will be the lovely Mila Kunis, Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton, Laura Vandervoort, Jessica Stroup, Joel McHale, and Ralph Garman.

“Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of Ted. In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish…and has refused to leave his side ever since.”

I loved the inclusion of The Temper Trap’s song, Sweet Disposition, in the first trailer – not to mention the red-band nature of it – but this one has the added bonus of a nice introduction from MacFarlane himself, and plenty more great footage from what’s almost certainly going to be one of the year’s funniest films.

Co-written by MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin (Family Guy), and Wellesley Wild (Family Guy), Ted will be released in the US on 13th July, before coming to the UK a little later on 3rd August. I can’t wait. Here’s the new trailer to show you why. (And if you missed the first red-band trailer earlier this week, I’d highly recommend checking it out here too.) Enjoy. And if you’d like to see it in HD, you can head over to Apple here.
