Lately we’ve been treated to posters, pics and trailers aplenty for director Tony Scott’s latest collaboration with Denzel Washington, Unstoppable.

In case you’ve missed our earlier posts, Unstoppable is about a new train engineer, played by Chris Pine (James Kirk in the Star Trek reboot) who is being mentored by Denzel Washington in order to take over from him. Alas transitioning jobs is never smooth and in this case matters are significantly complicated by a runaway train, loaded with thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals, which is headed for a small town. Washington and Pine must find a way of stopping the Unstoppable before catastrophe strikes.

Those fine folk over at Yahoo! have grabbed a new short feature which shows some footage from the film and a couple of talking head shots of Washington, Pine and Rosario Dawson, talking about their characters and their overall arcs in the film.

I’m not going to lie, I am hugely looking forward to this film. There is very little CGI, no sign of any 3D and with very few exceptions, Tony Scott and Denzel Washington tend to combine to sensational effect. Enjoy the clip below and let us know if you’re excited about this one as well.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
