The first trailer for Juan Solanas’s sci-fi love story Upside Down came out very early on in 2012 and now some new footage and concept art has made it out onto the wild plains of the internet.

This clip comes from the ever wonderful Jim Sturgess Online and though it’s dubbed into Russian it has some very nice new footage showing off the topsy-turvy world inhabited by Sturgess and his other-way-up beau Kirsten Dunst.

There’s also some behind the scenes footage so the visual effects fans can get their fill of green screenery, and there are little details on show to further tease and intrigue.

There’s no doubt that this is a bold vision and Sturgess and Dunst can certainly turn on the charm. What it comes down to, as it always does, is whether there’s a decent enough script to make best use of the ideas at play here. The Adjustment Bureau was a recent example of an excellent idea running out of steam just shy of the finish line, but I had a lot of fun with that film and it seems I’ll do the same here.
