There’s only been a handful of episodes of Black Mirror, but each of them have been gloriously inventive and disturbing. Commenting on current day technology with a unique Twilight Zone style twist, Charlie Brooker’s series is must-watch TV, and has ended up being a hit in America thanks to the fact that each of the episodes have been added to Netflix.

Now, according to a new report, Netflix has snapped up Black Mirror and will produce new episodes after coming to a deal with Brooker and  his independent production company House of Tomorrow. The online streaming service entered talks with the show’s creator back in May, and it could be that these new instalments will be the rumoured American remake.

That’s because Brooker is currently writing scripts for a new run on Channel 4, and a source from the channel tells Radio Times that they have a first look deal on new episodes. When it will return remains to be seen at this point, but hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.

Whatever form Black Mirror takes on Netflix, Brooker’s involvement obviously makes it well worth getting excited over. So far, there has been two series and a Christmas special, with A-List names like Jon Hamm, Toby Kebbell, Hayley Atwell all taking on starring roles.
