As promised, the latest trailer for Mission Impossible Rogue Nation is here. The fifth film in the series so far has the considerable advantage of having Christopher McQuarrie behind the camera, so we’re certainly in for a treat.
Cruise is joined by old hands Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg with Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin turning up for this latest bout of explosive, hi-tech espionage.
For the last couple of outings of this series there was the possibility that Cruise was looking to hand over the reins to a new agent. The appearance of Jeremy Renner’s character in Ghost Protocol was presumed as a Bourne-style replacement, but unless Hunt goes out in a blaze of glory here it’s likely to be a Tom Cruise joint for ever and a day.
