We previously introduced you to the world of Christopher Guest’s Mascots, the Netflix original film which is playing in Toronto this month, and which today was among the announcements for the London Film Festival in October.

The film hits the streaming service on the 13th of October and the first trailer for the film arrived today.

With Guest behind the camera, and the wonderful Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman being thematic forebears, we’re in for a treat. The trailer shows off some of the more outlandish and committed mascots, mostly inhabited by some of Guest’s regular troupe. Newcomer to the group Chris O’Dowd makes a memorable appearance here too.

Synopsis time!

Mascots is a new comedy from Christopher Guest, director of “Waiting for Guffman” and “Best in Show”.  Starring many of his regular troupe of actors, this latest film takes place in the ultra-competitive world of sports mascots where they compete for the most prestigious award in their field, the Gold Fluffy.
