Ahead of the release of the first trailer for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age of Extinction Tuesday (US) Wednesday (UK), Paramount Pictures have released a new character poster for the movie featuring Mark Wahlberg as the popular franchise’s new lead Cade Yeager.
It’s interesting that the one-sheet puts the spotlight on a human character instead of the Autobots, Decepticons or newly introduced Dinobots. Could this be a sign that the fourth instalment in the series will put a greater focus on people instead of special effects, or simply just the first in a series of posters?
The latter option seems more likely, but this is still an effective enough way of introducing movie-goers to Wahlberg’s Transformers character. “The Rules Have Changed”? We’ll have to wait and see on that one.
Directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Titus Welliver, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer, Transformers: Age of Extinction is set to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on June 27th in the US and 10th July in the UK.
