Following the success of Kingsman: The Secret Service, it should come as no surprise to learn that another Mark Millar comic book series is getting the big screen treatment. This one is his and Frank Quitely’s Jupiter’s Legacy, the epic story which focuses on a group who gained their powers in the 1930s, and the children in the present day who are tasked with living up to their legacies. There are a lot of major twists and turns too.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Millar is teaming up with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (he’s played a key role in the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises) to adapt the comic book and meetings with possible writers are already said to be taking place. Di Bonaventura is also developing Millar’s MPH.

Pretty much all of Millar’s creator owned series are in various stages of being adapted, with Chrononauts recently picked up by Universal Pictures. Nemesis, Superior, Supercrooks and others are all on the way too.

The news is well timed too as today sees the release of Jupiter’s Circle, a companion series to Jupiter’s Legacy which explores what happened when the original superheroes gained their powers in the ’30s.
