Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) is attached to direct The Only Boy Living in New York, Thompson On Hollywood are reporting.

In a conversation with the film’s producers Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger (Little Miss Sunshine), the duo let slip that Webb is close to singing on to take the helm after previous director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) dropped out.

The Only Boy Living in New York tells of a recent college graduate adrift in New York City whose life is turned upside down by his father’s mistress. Logan Lerman has been linked to the lead role in the past, but he may have also moved on.

The film appears to be quite far down the line as financing has yet to be secured, but it sounds like another interesting project for the currently in-demand Webb, whose coming off The Amazing Spider-Man and is still in contention to direct the sequel, should he be asked back.
