Amazon MGM Studios has released a new trailer for ‘Man on the Run,’ an intimate and emotionally rich documentary that follows Paul McCartney through one of the most pivotal chapters of his life. Directed by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville, the film explores McCartney’s creative rebirth in the aftermath of The Beatles’ breakup and the daring formation of Wings alongside his wife, Linda McCartney.
Rather than basking in Beatlemania’s afterglow, ‘Man on the Run’ focuses on the uncertainty that followed. The trailer teases a raw portrait of McCartney at a crossroads, wrestling with loss, self-doubt, and the immense pressure of redefining himself in a new musical era. This was not a victory lap. It was a leap into the unknown.
Neville chronicles McCartney’s solo journey as both a deeply personal reckoning and a radical artistic experiment. With unprecedented access to previously unseen footage, rare archival materials, and candid interviews, the film captures a decade defined by reinvention. Family life becomes inseparable from the music, with Linda McCartney emerging as a creative partner and emotional anchor as Wings takes shape and finds its voice against the odds.
The documentary features appearances from Paul McCartney alongside archival footage of Ringo Starr, John Lennon, George Harrison, Linda McCartney, and the original Wings lineup. Together, these fragments form a mosaic of a transformative era, one fueled by artistic risk, resilience, and the quiet determination to keep moving forward.
