Man-of-Steel-BannerWe’re officially one month out from Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated Superman reboot hitting the big screen, and all we’ve seen over the past year has Man of Steel in a very strong position to be the best movie of the year.

Warner Bros. have recently been gearing up their promotional campaign for the blockbuster ahead of its release next month. And following a number of recent TV spots, they’ve debuted another thirty-second spot giving us an awesome new look at Snyder’s upcoming movie.

*SPOILER ALERT* The spot below includes what looks to be a not-entirely-insignificant glimpse at a scene from the movie, so you may want to look away now.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Henry Cavill is front and centre as the Man of Steel himself. And he’s joined by an awesome ensemble, led by Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Richard Schiff, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, and Laurence Fishburne.

Snyder is directing from a script penned by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy), who co-wrote the story with frequent collaborator Christopher Nolan.

Man of Steel will be released in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D on June 14th in the US and UK, and you can be sure that that weekend is going to be absolutely huge at the box office. I can’t wait; this cannot come fast enough.
