Man-of-Steel-BannerZack Snyder’s Man of Steel is just over a month away from its big screen debut, and the anticipation surrounding the Superman reboot is understandably immense.

The film promises to be one of the greatest of the year. And with Snyder believed to have the job offer to direct the Justice League movie if all goes well with Man of Steel this summer, the stakes are high.

We’ve seen nothing but brilliance from the film so far, with the latest trailer teasing both the dramatic and the epic action sides to the film. And now Warner Bros. have partnered up with Norton to bring a series of promos, the first of which below sees Snyder and co. talk a little about Superman’s powers in the upcoming blockbuster.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Henry Cavill takes the lead here as the Man of Steel, himself. And he’s joined by a fantastic cast, led by Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Richard Schiff, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, and Laurence Fishburne.

Snyder is directing from a script penned by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy), who co-wrote the story with frequent collaborator Christopher Nolan.

Man of Steel will be hitting theatres in 2D, 3D, IMAX 2D, and IMAX 3D on June 14th in the US and UK. And you can guarantee this is one you’ll want to see as soon as is humanly possible. It’s going to be beyond amazing.
