There aren’t many British or Irish actors working today making as choices as consistently impressive as Niamh Algar, who continues on her fine form as the starring role in ITV’s new medical drama Malpractice.
To mark the launch of the series, which begins on Sunday April 23rd, we had the pleasure in speaking to the performer, as she tells us what it is about this show that appealed to her, going into a discussion where we discuss the merits, and perhaps under-appreciation, of our doctors and nurses.

Synopsis
Dr Norma Callahan and Dr George Adjei are investigators from the Medical Investigation Unit who are tasked with assessing whether Lucinda is fit to practise medicine. Feeling the pressure, Lucinda is desperate to prove herself.
