You can read all about that by clicking here, but while we were there, we were lucky enough to catch up with X-Men: Apocalypse makeup department head Rita Ciccozzi. While she didn’t work on the movie’s four blue characters – Apocalypse, Beast, Mystique, and Nightcrawler – Ciccozzi played a massive role in bringing this world to life, and talks in great detail about her role in the video interview below.
However, as fascinating as it was to talk all things X-Men: Apocalypse, Ciccozzi dropped some very interesting details about her experience working on Zack Snyder’s Watchmen.
“Watchmen was a dream because, again, it’s one of those shows that run the gamete of makeup. What’s interesting with Watchmen, and X-Men too, is the comics. With Watchmen, because of the graphic novel, we did a lot of exact matches to the comics to the point where in a scene where they’re in a restaurant and there’s background people, we’d try to make them look exactly like the comic books did, so that was really fun. It was fantastic.”
