Hannibal alum Mads Mikkelsen can look forward to some very angry phone calls from Disney later today as he has revealed in a recent interview with Sky News who exactly he’s playing in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. While we’ve known for a while Mikkelsen probably wouldn’t be a villain, the Danish actor has now confirmed that he’s set to star as Jyn Erso’s father.

Of course, just because he’s the lead’s father, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a good guy! However, after the TV show mentioned above and Marvel’s Doctor Strange (which is set to be released this November), it would be refreshing to see Mikkelsen avoid a villainous role.

We’ll just have to wait and see about that anyway, but this is a very interesting reveal.

Set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, the plot of the movie revolves around a band of resistance fighters unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans, and a very impressive cast has been assembled made up of names like Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed (though WHO they’re playing is obviously a mystery).

Rogue One is set to be released on December. Check out the interview in full below.
