Dave posted some pretty great Machete art recently and this only fanned the flames of anticipation for this most unlikely of trailer turned movie stories.
Robert Rodriguez is co-directing with his Grindhouse Editor Ethan Maniquis and there’s an amazing cast lined up to flesh out this story of a double crossed mercenary with a taste for dismemberment and cutting through the corruption…you know what? It’s impossible to describe the movie without hearing the sound of the trailer voiceover man reading it out – so, here’s the original Grindhouse trailer which sparked it all off…
And below is the new, less Grindhousey trailer which debuted today. The title for this post may seem like a cheap pun, but while this new trailer offers us some new footage, and there’s some gunplay with Michelle Rodriguez which looks particularly exploitative, the music doesn’t quite fit and I miss the more obvious Grindhouse effects – but hey – that’s just me. I still can’t wait for this one.
