Twentieth Century Fox has released a few first look images of Nick Robinson as the teen who has yet to come out to his family and friends in their upcoming production Love, Simon which is released in March 2018.

The film is a comedy/drama following the life of young Simon as he hides the fact he is gay while pursuing an online relationship. The synopsis reads everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year-old Simon Spier it’s a little more complicated: he’s yet to tell his family or friends he’s gay and he doesn’t actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.

The author of the book, Becky Albertalli stated after watching an early cut of the film, “It’s funny and relevant and timeless and charming and honest and painful and so romantic. It says exactly what I wanted the book to say.”

The cast includes Nick Robinson as Simon Spier, Katherine Langford as Leah Burke, Simon’s best friend, Alexandra Shipp as Abby Suso, Simon’s friend, on whom Nick has a crush, Jorge Lendeborg as Nick Eisner, Simon’s best friend, on whom Leah has a crush, Miles Heizer as Cal Price, one of Simon’s classmates, on whom Simon has a crush, Keiynan Lonsdale as Bram Greenfeld, one of Simon’s friends and classmates, Logan Miller as Martin Addison, one of Simon’s classmates who blackmails Simon, Jennifer Garner as Emily Spier, Simon’s mother, Josh Duhamel as Jack Spier, Simon’s father and Tony Hale as Mr. Worth.

Directed by Greg Berlanti (Dawson’s Creek, Brothers and Sisters) from a screenplay by written by Isaac Aptaker & Elizabeth Berger (This is Us) the story is based on Becky Albertalli’s acclaimed novel.
