To celebrate the release of Loki: Season Two, which has begun streaming on Disney+, we sat down with two of the filmmakers behind the new season and why the God of Mischief’s journey has only just begun.

“Loki” Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

Chatting to director Daniel DeLeeuw and producer Kevin Wright we talk about the effects of the MCU and the multiverse on the series, why there was room for more stories with Loki, bringing a new dimension to the TVA and He Who Remains (aka Kang The Conquerer), the importance of Tom Hiddleston and his want to stretch Loki out beyond what many would predict as well as embracing some – but not all – of fan theories and demands.
