‘Captain Marvel’ actress, Lashana Lynch’s role in ‘Bond 25’ has been leaked as a sharp-shooting spy for MI6 who has briefly taken on the codename made famous by James Bond, 007.
Lynch is not expected to replace Craig in the franchise. The latest news to come out of the Bond camp suggests that the switch is purely set up for the film’s events – and in fact when Bond meets her he tries his usual seduction tricks. The development reportedly comes from screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s contributions to the film’s screenplay.
Wow. Lashana Lynch is the next 007. She’s not playing Bond, but will take over the code name. Brava, Phoebe Waller-Bridge for ushering in a new era where WoC can lead a spy series, like Sandra Oh in #KillingEve. H/t @iamlaurenp https://t.co/qcSpMHF2zR

Joining the franchise are for the 25th instalment are Rami Malek (playing the villain), Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Lashana Lynch and Billy Magnussen.
Last week, it was also reported that Christoph Waltz had been seen on the set at Pinewood Studios confirming he could well be returning for a brief cameo as Blofeld.
The script is written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns with Cary Joji Fukunaga and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have also made contributions to the latest version of the script.
Broccoli revealed that Bond is not on active service when the film starts, but the film has already shot in Norway and will travel to Pinewood in London and Italy.
